It’s very rare to make something and not have some yarn over at the end. But what to do with all those odds and ends? This Teddy Bear pattern is perfect for using them up. You can vary the number and width of the stripes depending on what you have.
The pattern uses Aran weight yarn but I used odds and ends of DK yarn doubled up, with a 5mm hook this gave a nice tight stitch which meant that the stuffing doesn’t show through. Sitting down the finished Teddy Bear measures 28cm. I finished him off with safety eyes and nose.
The pattern is by Janine Holmes and was published in ‘More Keepsake Crafts’. It is also available to download via a link on Ravelry.
