I made this crocheted wrap last year but couldn’t share it at the time as it was a birthday present for one of my family.
The yarn is Rowan Tweed, it is 100% wool and the thickness of the yarn varies. I can’t say it was the easiest of yarns to crochet with and I found I needed to be careful not to break it.
I didn’t want to make a triangular shawl but rather a long wrap that would go around the shoulders and could be either pinned or draped and I wanted it to be quite lacy. I couldn’t find a crocheted wrap pattern that I liked but as I was basically just going to make a long rectangle I decided to use a stitch that I had seen and liked on a shawl pattern but adapt it to the shape I wanted.
Once I had completed the rectangle I added a simple shell border to finish it off.
